Board Member
Emily is an attorney with the federal government specializing in litigation and compliance. She is active in the community to advocate for mental health and mentor teens and young adults. She previously worked as a business and family immigration attorney. During law school, Emily defended refugees pursuing resettlement and developed training programs for law enforcement on identifying human trafficking. Emily has also served as a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate, during which she supported survivors of sexual assault at the hospital during treatment and the forensic examination. Emily is trained in supporting victims of trauma and is passionate about using mindfulness techniques to heal trauma and manage stress and anxiety. Emily strives to be a thought leader and has shared her perspective as a public speaker and author on the topic of human trafficking and forced child labor.
